Mary Ann Casias, 84, of Denver Colorado, passed away from this life into eternal life on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Denver Health Hospital in Denver. She was born on August 15, 1938, in Denver, Co, the daughter of [deceased] Victoria Escamilla and [deceased] Leopoldo Segura.
Mary was dealt an odd hand while growing up. She dealt with multiple illnesses as a young child. Mary gained the values of a big sister, caretaker, and mother in her younger years due to being placed in the Queen of Heaven orphanage with most of her siblings. From Queen of Heaven, she went to school at Westminster High School where she was able to graduate and become a saleswoman and travel all over the U.S. (to name a few, Virginia, Texas, New Mexico, Washington D.C., Tennessee). As she made her way back to Colorado, she met and fell in love with her husband [deceased] Joe Felix Casias. As they navigated life with each other, they were able to build a wonderful home with 4 amazing independent children.
As Mary, grew older, she was still able to travel all over the U.S. with her children and grandchildren. She made memories that would last forever with those that she loved. Her home was a safe haven for anyone. She opened her arms and her home to anyone in need. Mary will always be remembered for her blunt honesty, her compassion, and her endless love for her family and friends, but most Importantly her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved puzzles, camping, music, and dancing. As we look at the beautiful life that Mary lived, we will all forever cherish all the memories and lessons that she instilled in us. She will be missed not only as a mother, but as a grandmother, a sister, an auntie, a cousin, and a friend.
