Mary Catherine Covell

Mary passed away peacefully, on August 21, 2016, in Denver, CO, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Mary was born and raised in Shenandoah, PA. She was a registered nurse, who spent her life lovingly taking care of others. She loved cooking, playing bridge, reading, jazz, knitting and was an avid Redskins fan. She is survived by her children, Colleen Covell and Lauren (Alan) Thomson of Denver, CO, and Dr. William (Rachel) Covell of Middletown, DE; her beloved grandsons Duncan and Benjamin Covell, and John Finley Thomson; and her siblings, Patricia Toole and Jack Butler. A memorial service is planned for September 10, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Parish in Middletown, DE.
