Mary Marcella Crandell

Mary Marcella (Mudd) Crandell passed on Nov. 22, 2015. She was born on May 29, 1925 to William G. and Ruth Catherine Mudd in Denver, CO. She attended Annunciation Grade and High School and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing. On April 15, 1950, she married Robert W. Crandell in Denver. Marcella and Robert were founding members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Denver. Marcella spent her years at home, caring for her family. She served her Parish and School as PTO President and was an active member of the Franciscan Circle and Church Choir. For many years, she was an active member of Friends of Nursing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, eagerness to serve and her chatty ways. She is survived by her husband Bob of 65 years; 5 children, Mary Carol (David) Ferrera, Robert, David, Donald (Teresa), Gregg (Jeannie); 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Christopher. Memorial contributions can be made to Friends of Nursing, PO Box 735, Englewood, CO 80151.
