Mary Hanks

Mary Alice Hanks, 65, of Aurora died Feb. 13, 2015. Born Dec. 18, 1949 in Chicago, IL to the late Lloyd and E. Lilith Mills. Mary married Marshall Hanks in 1974. She was an early childhood educator, but her own children benefited most from her love of learning, exploring, and discovering. Mary could never say no to a sympathetic and understanding teddy bear smile; leaving an extensive collection to her family to enjoy. She is survived by her husband, Marshall and two children: Heather Shida, of Nagasaki, Japan; and Nathan Hanks of Denver, CO. She is also survived by two granddaughters. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015, 4:00PM at the Heartlight Center in Aurora, CO.
