Mary Shanahan Haskins, 76, died January 4, 2011, after a valiant struggle with COPD. Mary was born Sept. 18, 1934 in Libby, Montana to Ward Perry Shanahan and Antonia Kessels Shanahan. She was the second of two children and was raised in Miles City, Montana. After attending St. Catherine's College in St. Paul, Minnesota for one year, she graduated from the University of Montana, Missoula, in 1956 with a Bachelors Degree. She returned to Miles City, Montana where she met William James Haskins whom she married on May 17, 1958. She is survived by her children Antonia Catherine (Chris) Lesniak, William Joseph (Rochelle) Haskins, Patricia Eve (Con) Ntalianis, and Mary Cornelia Haskins; her grandchildren Alexander Pannebaker, Mariah, William, and Miranda Haskins, and her brother Ward Anthony Shanahan. She is preceded in death by her husband William Haskins; daughter Ann Haskins Carnes and grandchildren Sarah and Andrew Carnes. A rosary will be said 7:00 PM Sunday, Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Monday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6853 S. Prince St., Littleton. The family requests donations to St. Mary Catholic Church, or Eternal Word Television Network in lieu of flowers.
