Mary passed away on April 27, 2020, two days after her 83rd birthday. She was the oldest child of Raymond Sylvester Hamblin and Margie Presley. She married William Arthur Henderson on May 18, 1956 in Edgewater, in Jefferson County, Colorado. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few months before his death on August 9, 2016.
Mary is survived by her three children, Randi L. Henderson (Joseph W. Lisieski), Cindy A. DeHate (Ken), and Timothy A. Henderson, all residents of the Denver area. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Christopher A. Lisieski (Mariah Currier Thompson) of Fresno, CA; Michael J. Lisieski of Detroit, MI; Samuel J. Lisieski (Danni R. Cannon) of Portland, OR; Stephanie Marick Klinzing (Adam) of Oak Creek, CO, Daniel F. Marick (Teresa) of Aurora, CO; two step-grandchildren, Jennifer C. DeHate of Aurora, CO and Peter J. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her only sibling, Barbara A. Dack, and one granddaughter, Francesca S. Lisieski.
Mary graduated from Westminster High School in 1955, .and worked for a short time in the clerical pool for Warner Brothers in Denver, before beginning her family.
Mary worked as the Colorado State Coordinator for TOPS Club, Inc. for 28 years, making friends across the state and the country.
Mary was a TOPS member for over 50 years, and a KOPS for 18 years.
Mary loved to travel, especially with friends. A recent trip on a Mississippi River cruise gave her great pleasure. Her hobbies included counted cross stitch, knitting, and crocheting. Mary's hats and slippers kept many of her friends and family warm and toasty! Her gentle humor and lovely smile will be greatly missed.
Mary's family would like to extend their gratitude to the people at The Denver Hospice. They were all compassionate and professional, and helped ease our burden of worry in so many ways, big and small.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either of Mary's favorite charities would be a fitting tribute to her memory:
