Mary Theresa Jezek

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, January 31, 1921 to Joseph O'Grady and Mary Ellen Ryan. Mary attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Cathedral High School. She graduated from Clark College in Dubuque, Iowa in 1942 as a dietician and completed a Dietician Internship at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts from 1942-1943. She worked as a dietician at National Jewish Hospital from 1943-1945, at Denver General in 1945 until her marriage to Joe Jezek in 1950. Mary has six children; son, John who lives in Denver; daughter, Mary Ellen (Phil) Murawski who lives in Orlando, Florida; daughter, Margaret who resides in Bellingham, Washington; son, James (Lori) who lives in Centennial; daughter, Patricia (Fred) Kurdziel who lives in North Kingston, Rhode Island; and daughter, Ann (Dan) Whitaker who lives in Denver. She also has eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mary's hobbies were playing bridge and to travel and she was a member of the American Dietician Association and Council of Catholic Women. Recitation of the Rosary to be held Monday, February 28, 2011, 12:30 p.m., followed by Funeral Mass, 1:00 p.m., both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado.
