Mary Lones

Mary Louise (Hurlburt) Lones Born May 18,1930 in Denver, Colorado. Died in Longmont, Colorado on January 18, 2025 after a brief illness.

Mary and her husband Bob married for fifty-eight years, lived in Northglenn, Colorado for fifty years and raised their two sons Michael and David. She spent her early years as a long-distance operator and elementary school lunch lady.

 Mary enjoyed crocheting and knitting blankets for family and friends, playing cards, word search puzzles and big band music kept her occupied and happy. Her Love and generosity for her family was strong. Mary was a Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets fan, rarely missing a game.

Mary had many great adventures with husband Bob traveling in their RV and seeing the sites of many states. She lived for the last fourteen years with David and Melinda Lones in Broomfield, Colorado after her husband passed away.

Mary was an original member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish in Northglenn, Colorado. She was a devout Catholic and lead a humble life. Her love and generosity for her family was strong, she never missed a birthday, anniversary, or holiday.

Mary is survived by David (Melinda) Lones of Broomfield, Colorado, Grandchildren Michelle (Zachary) Borunda of Broomfield, Colorado, Daniel Lones of San Luis Obispo, California and Great-granddaughter Lily Silva of Los Osos, California.

Preceded in death by son Michael Lones, husband Robert Lones, brothers Henry and Paul Hurlburt, parents Marie and Merton Hurlburt.

Services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, Colorado 80233 on Thursday January 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Olinger Highland cemetery located at 10201 Grant St. Thornton, Colorado 80229
