Mary Ann Myers, 73, of Littleton, passed away under hospice care in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on October 13, 2021 following a brief fight with leukemia.
Mary Ann was born on January 25, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa. She grew up and went to high school in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1969. There she met and married David Myers of Sterling, Colorado. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year.
Mary Ann and David raised their 3 sons in Littleton, Colorado. When her children were older, she obtained a teaching certificate and taught elementary school in Littleton Public Schools.
In her retirement Mary Ann enjoyed golf, cards, and traveling with her friends. But her primary joy was being “Nana” for her grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband David, her brother William Howell, Jr., her sons, Brian (Erin), Andrew (Laura), and Christopher (Kaydee) and her seven grandchildren, Alexandra, Ashley, Grace, Sebastian, Colton, Sienna, and Kieran. She was preceded in death by her parents William Howell and Charlotte Howell (Packham), her brother Richard, and her sister Barbara.
Celebration of her life will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mary Ann’s name to the Lutheran Medical Center Foundation to support Collier Hospice, or the Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation.
