Mary Helen Olguin

Mary Ellen "Helen" Olguin, born in Truchas, New Mexico, and from Denver, Colorado, passed away March 22, 2024, at the age of 75. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to her large family. She had a passion for all types of music, enjoyed watching sports - especially her home teams, and loved sweet treats. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Vincent Olguin and Maria Adella Olguin; her siblings Raymond, Rachel, Robert, and Ralph Gomez; and Vincent Olguin, Jr.; and her grandson Randy Mestas, Jr. She is survived by her children, Alicia (Lisa), Richard, Della, and Betty; her twin sister Mary Lou; and younger sister Rosie. She was proud to be  the grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren during her lifetime. She will always be remembered for her lively spirit, her generous heart, her amusing one-liners/sayings, and her "never give up" approach to life.

 Services will be Friday, April 5. Viewing will be at 11:00am, with rosary and scripture service to follow at 12:00pm. Her wish was for her ashes to be buried with her mother at the family cemetery in New Mexico (date TBD).
