Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Oursler passed away on February 3, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 7, 1943 and is the only daughter of William W. Osborn and Dorothy S. Osborn. She graduated from Ardmore High School in Ardmore, OK in 1961. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK in 1965 with a BS in Elementary Education. She married LTC Robert C. Oursler, Jr. (USA Ret) on June 25, 1966 in Breckinridge, CO. She taught elementary school in Ohio, New Mexico, Texas, Georgia, and Colorado. After retiring from teaching 2000, she became a customer service representative and training evaluator for Oppenheimer Funds in Denver, CO and retired again in 2009. She enjoyed traveling, photography, sewing, crocheting, quilting, reading, cooking, teaching others how to sew and quilt, and spending time with family. Even though she was an Okie at heart, she loved the Rocky Mountains. She is a two time survivor of Thyroid Cancer and succumbed to complications due to Lung Cancer and pneumonia. She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, her daughter Jennifer L. O. Fas, her son Thomas W. Oursler, and her granddaughter Megan E. Fas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. A celebration of her life and Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hope United Methodist Church, 5101 S. Dayton, Greenwood Village, Colorado. An Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. Mary Beth's family wishes to extend a thank you to all of their friends and loved ones for the continued support, thoughts, and prayers they have received. Mary Beth will be sorely missed by all.
