Mary Blair Patterson

Mary Blair, 100, passed away June 15, 2010 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was born in Owings, Calvert County, Maryland to Ernest and Ethel (Fletcher) Lane on November 28, 1909. She graduated from St. Mary's Female Seminary in 1927 and Hood College in 1931 and had a career in Social Work. In 1933, she married George Patterson in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They moved to Glen Ellyn, Illinois where they raised their family from 1952 to 1972 before moving to Denver, Colorado. She enjoyed volunteering for Hospice, and making knit caps for the babies at Denver Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband George and son Lane. She is survived by two sons, Jim (Joby) of Eugene, Oregon and Bill (Betsy) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Memorial Service honoring her life will be Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado.
