It is with profound grief that we announce Mary Jo (âJodyâ) Paulâborn into creation as a cherished daughter of God on June 8th 1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsinâwas transitioned into eternal peace on June 12th 2018 outside Trinidad, Colorado. Jody will be eternally memorialized as an exemplar of a loving mother, a beloved and blessed grandmother, a faithful and devoted wife, a loyal and caring sister, and an embodiment of Christâs love and joy to many deeply-cherished, always-remembered friends. Jodyâs life, an elegant tapestry of talent and service, has been marked by many notable achievements and contributions to family, community, friends, and The Church via her giftings as a graduate of Mount Mary University, a teacher, a homemaker, a talented professional, a local business owner, and a fervent friend. Jody and her legacy will survive through the hearts and minds of her family, friends, and all those who knew her, most especially: Thomas Edward Paul (husband), Ann Frances Ungerland (daughter), Kathleen Mary Allen (daughter), Dennis Craig Dolken (brother), Robert Paul Dolken (brother), Luke Paul Allen (grandson), Paul Jonathan Ungerland III (grandson), Olivia Marie Allen (granddaughter), Paul Jonathan Ungerland II (son-in-law), Robert Gene Allen (son-in-law), many brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and several cousins. We pray for the peace of her soul and celebrate her new life in the light of Godâs full and loving grace. A memorial service will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home (Aurora, CO) on Tuesday, June 19th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary service to be held at 6:00 PM. A celebration of Jody's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 20th 2018 at Most Precious Blood Church (2250 S Harrison St, Denver, CO 80210). A small reception will follow the Mass at the church. The family kindly requests those wishing to offer gifts in Jodyâs memory to generously donate to the Chrons and Colitis Foundation and/or National Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
