Mary Pearson

Mary Pearson, beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend, passed away on June 21, 2021, after a brief battle with lung cancer. She leaves a legacy of love and fond memories in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born Mary Holland on December 27, 1955, in West Helena, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Otto and Ida Holland. On December 22, 1979, she married Tony Pearson of Forrest City, Arkansas. In 1980, Mary graduated from Arkansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Five years later, she and Tony relocated to Colorado, where they built a life together until they divorced in March 2007.

Mary's greatest joy came from being a mother to her twin daughters, Angelique and Dominique, born in February 1986. She embraced motherhood with unwavering love and dedication, treasuring her role as their guiding light.

In June 1995, Mary joined Bellco Credit Union, where she worked diligently until her untimely passing. Through her commitment and warm personality, she formed deep bonds with her colleagues, who became an extended family to her.

Faith was integral to Mary's life, providing her solace and strength. She found comfort in reading, listening to music, and actively participating in her church community. Her infectious smile and radiant personality earned her the endearing nickname "Sunshine" because she brightened the lives of those around her.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Ida, and Otto Holland. She is survived by her loving daughters, Dominique and Angelique; her sisters, Ida Arnett and Connie; her brother, Ray; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins. Mary's daughters will be hosting a celebration of her beautiful existence at Horan & McConaty on June 24 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association in Mary's memory.
