Mary Ann Pennington-Neidert

April 14, 1961 — May 8, 2018

Mary Ann passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 8, 2018. Mary Ann was born to Leonard & Donna Kopp in San Jose, CA, the youngest of four daughters. She grew up in Oregon but raised her family in Denver, Colorado and Paris, France. Mary Ann graduated from The University of Colorado at Denver with a B.S. in Finance and later completed the International Executive Program at INSEAD. She enjoyed a very successful career in Finance and Treasury. Mary Ann was charitable with her time having served on the board of Family Tree and volunteered with the Oregon Entrepreneur Network and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Mary Ann had a zest for life. She enjoyed skiing, travel (especially dipping her toes in the Hawaiian sand during whale season), good food and even better wine. Her true passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Carl; son, Nicholas Pennington and his wife, Cydney; daughter, Brooke and her husband, Stephen Cleckley; son, Alexander Pennington and his wife Katharina Lutter; and her grandsons: Jaeden, Pennington, Brooklyn and soon to be baby Henry. The celebration of all things Mary Ann will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 17, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4377 Utica Street, in Denver, Colorado 80212.
