Mary L. Sharp, of Longmont, Colorado passed away July 25, 2012. She loved her family, the Colorado scenery, especially Rocky Mountain National Park, and her pets. Mary was a long time Intrado employee and Director in the Wireline Business Unit. She was instrumental in the creation of the QMS group and function, led major operational efforts to establish Intrado's legacy 9-1-1 systems in the 1990s and early 2000s, and contributed to high quality 9-1-1 service delivery for the earliest telephone company customers. Mary spent many years prior to coming to Intrado working for Ameritech and before that Michigan Bell, where she was a pioneer in the 9-1-1 industry and was involved in many of the earliest deployments of Enhanced 9-1-1. Mary left a wonderful legacy for Intrado as the founder of the original CAP Committee, whose giving tradition continues today. Above all Mary was a great friend and someone who brought outstanding personal passion to her work in 9-1-1. Survived by her brother, Dan of Detroit, Michigan; nephews, Ed (Jamie Mason), Ken, Michael; niece, Renee (Ed); great nieces and nephew, Ashley, Deidra, Danny; and many friends from Intrado and cancer support groups, nurses and doctors. Memorial Service in her honor will be Friday, August 3, 2012, at 10:00 AM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, in Thornton, Colorado.
