Mary ""Jackie"" Shore

Mary ""Jackie"" Shore, age 84, passed at Rose of Sharon Assisted Living on July 11, 2014 of natural causes. Born May 29, 1930, in Evington, Virginia, Jackie had been a resident of Colorado since 1965. Jackie worked to make the world around her more beautiful, whether through her impressive gardens or her painting. She shared her love of reading, science fiction in particular, with her family and friends. Jackie was known for her cooking, especially at holidays and family gatherings. For many years, Jackie raised and provided for her two daughters on her own. Her love and strength built a close-knit, caring family. This is her legacy. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Penny (Terry) Schaff, Cindy (Mark) Bowen; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Brickley, Kathi Schaff, Cameron Mullen; great-grandchildren, Jennifer R. Brickley and Brianna Brickley; and great-great granddaughter, Molly Brickley-Hornbaker. Jackie is also survived by her brother, Robert Greaves, sister, Iona Webster, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by husband, John R. Shore, mother, Leota Greaves, and brother, David Keesee. Friends and family are welcome to attend services at 3pm on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. A reception will follow.
