Mary K Spencer

Mary K. Spencer of Denver passed away December 11, 2015 at the age of 65. Daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Hayes, she was born on September 11, 1950 in Denver, CO. Mary graduated from St. Francis High School in 1968 and then went on to graduate from the Creighton School of Pharmacy in Omaha, NE in 1974. Mary was a second generation Pharmacist following in her father's footsteps. She would go on to practice Pharmacy for 40 years in the Denver area including taking over Hayes Pharmacy when her father Joseph retired in 1985. Mary is survived by her son Joseph Spencer, her sister Bridget and husband Bruce Duncan, her sister-in-law's Samantha Hayes and Sharon Hayes, her niece Erin Hillius, her nephews Joshua and wife Karen Hayes, James and Jacob Hoover, her great-nieces Joey and Jenner Hayes and her great-niece and goddaughter Lacey Hayes. Mary is predeceased by her daughter Abigail Spencer, her brothers Pat and Pete Hayes and her sister Sheila Hoover. Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, December 15th, 7pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver. Services will be Wednesday, December 16th at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, Viewing from 9:30-10am, Funeral Mass at 10am, concluding with Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 1:30pm.
