Mary Ann Schomaker Vogler, wife of Robert ""Bob"" Vogler, and mother of Sharon Ginter (husband Mike), David Vogler (wife Nora), Linda Wright (husband Anthony), Deborah Vogler and Teresa ""Traci"" Kline (husband Karl), died on August 21, 2015, as a result of COPD and pneumonia. Mary Ann was 76 years old. Mary Ann grew up in Saint Louis, MO, daughter of Joseph and Corinne Schomaker (both dearly departed), sister of Arthur Schomaker (wife Mary), James Schomaker (wife Carolyn), Alice Arrigo (husband James, Alice passed on) and Margaret Moody (husband John). Mary Ann moved to Colorado with her husband in 1963 and made a home in Northglenn, CO, where they lived from 1968. Mary Ann was a devout Catholic, married to Bob Vogler for 52 years until his death. Mary Ann was a secretary and stay at home mom by profession. She enjoyed crafts, reading, movies, and most forms of sugar, particularly jelly, ice cream and pie. Mary Ann experienced several health challenges in her final years. Her greatest desire was to spend the balance of her life living in her Northglenn home. Mary Ann remained determined until the day she passed to get well and return home. Mary Ann is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren (Ryan Pierskalla, Lauren Stanford, Gabrielle Vogler, Nicholas Stanford, Hannah Wright, Aaron Vogler, Alec Bennington, Patrick Vogler, Emma Wright, William Wright and Jacob Bennington) and many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mary Ann will be sorely missed. She had been cared for at Avamere Transitional Care at Malley since February, 2015, while she recovered from a broken shin and pneumonia. Avamere staff also cared for Bob Vogler until his passing. Bob and Mary Ann's family offers a sincere thank you to the staff at Avamere. It was obvious when they both died how many people were affected by their passing, and we appreciate the time they spent caring for and working with them both. Please send memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association. Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2015, 9:30-10:30AM. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30AM. Both will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3141 West 96th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado. Please share memories of Mary Ann and Condolences with her family by leaving a message in the guestbook.
