Mary Waugh

Mary Alice Waugh was born January 13th, 1940 in Paonia, Colorado to Marge and Murle Edwards. She passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2021 in Englewood Colorado. Mary is survived by her Husband of 61 years Richard Waugh of Lakewood, Colorado. Mary has two children Michael (59), Kelly (57); four Grandchildren, Christopher (33), Lacey (32), Justin (30), Angela (5) and four great grandchildren, Caylee (11), Cheyenne (9), Anberlynn (6), Rachael (5).
Mary lived a long and fulfilling life. She was born a small-town mountain girl in Paonia, Colorado. In 1966, she gave the gift of one of her kidneys to her sister Jean, when transplants were exceedingly rare and kidney failure was certain death. She traveled the world with her beloved husband Richard with Ports of Call travel club to many destinations, including Europe, the Caribbean, her favorite being an African safari. She also loved her family vacations to Mexico as well. One of her get-a-ways was her cabin at Grand Lake in the Colorado mountains. Mary helped her husband build a successful family business in Lakewood, Colorado and only recently retired. Through-out her life, she loved dogs and owned many Dachshunds, with Trudy being her first and favorite. Her interests included gardening and making photo scrapbooks of her family. She was a devoted wife and loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart. Mary was loved by everyone and will be missed greatly.
