Mary Suann Weber, known to her friends as ""Sue"", passed away Friday, January 9th, at the age of 65. She lived with grace and died at peace. Sue is survived by a sister, Martha Kenning of Westminster, Colorado, a brother, Geroge Henry Weber, of Paonia, Colorado and nephews Eric Ross of Denver, Joshua Kenning of Aurora and Elias Kenning of Ft. Collins. Sue was born June 4, 1949 in Denver where she lived most of her life, graduating from East High School. She attended both the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and the University of Colo at Boulder, earning a degree in nursing aid and developing an affinity for neo-natal intensive care. She later left nursing to work in the production of plutonium at Rocky Flats - a job she considered much less risky than caring for newborns in distress! She played flute, recorder, piano, and studied the organ under Austin C. Lovelace at Montview Blvd. Presbyterian Church in Denver. Though she loved horses dearly, she discovered as a Mariner Girl Scout that her passion was the ocean, sailing and scuba diving. Sue will be remembered as gentle, selfless, generous, wise and always ready for a good laugh. Though stricken with Multiple Sclerosis her belief in the sovereignty and goodness of God never wavered. She faced each day without complaint, spreading sunshine and encouragement wherever she went, often expressing her concern for others with a simple gentle touch. Her friendship was a gift and though we miss her keenly we rejoice that she has been released from suffering. A memorial service will be held in the Smith Fellowship Hall at Covenant Village of Colorado, 9153 Yarrow Street, Westminster, Colorado 80021 on Saturday, February 7th at 3:00pm. Refreshments and conversation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in her name to the Covenant Benevolent Fund.
