MaryAnn retired in March of 1997 to spend time with Ike by traveling and remodeling their homes. She stayed active in her retirement by doing things she loved: watercolor painting, flower arranging and traveling. She shared her love of traveling with her daughters and granddaughter. MaryAnn traveled to beautiful places such as China, Hawaii and Europe. She loved taking Ben and Libby on a fun Disney Cruise in 1998 and a large family cruise to Italy in 2006. MaryAnn’s greatest joy was traveling to watch her granddaughter’s dance competitions.
MaryAnn faced many health challenges throughout her life. Few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and feisty spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
She leaves behind her loving family, remarkable life-long friendships and wonderful memories.
