Mary Ann Patynok "Micki"

Mary Ann (Micki) Patynok was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on Saturday, April 17th, 1943. She died peacefully on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, at the age of 81. Mary Ann is survived by her cousins Marcia Moore of New Bedford, Massachusetts and Eddie Atkinson of Williamsburg, Virginia. She will be mourned by close friends across the country from New England to Florida to the West Coast.

Mary Ann was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She began her telephone career with Southern New England Telephone Company in New Haven, Connecticut on December 27, 1960. In 1970, she transferred to Southern Bell in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She transferred to Mountain Bell in 1982 and retired from US WEST in March of 1990 with 29 years of service.

After retiring Mary Ann volunteered with a number of organizations such as the Literacy Tutors of Westminster and the Children’s Hospital Colorado Volunteers, Boulder Chapter. She joined a line dancing group that performed at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She especially enjoyed singing in the Peace Lutheran Choir.

Mary Ann loved travel and photography. She combined these hobbies each year in a calendar she produced every Christmas for family and friends.

Mary Ann loved dogs. She owned them herself and happily puppy-sat for friends and neighbors.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 15th at 11:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 5675 Field Street, Arvada, Colorado 80002. Burial will follow at the Columbarium on the church grounds. Mary Ann requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
