Mary "Mimi" Dillard

December 7, 1947 — September 19, 2022

Parker, CO

Mary “Mimi” Felice Dillard of Parker, CO passed away in her sleep at the age of 74 on Monday, September 19, 2022, after a courageous 8-year battle with cancer.  Mimi was born in Baltimore, MD and raised in Cocoa Beach, FL during the height of the space program.  Always one for excitement, she was an avid surfer and fully embraced the cultural changes of the 1960s.  Perhaps in a slightly rebellious manner.

Following her sense of adventure, she headed west in a camper converted from a Wonder Bread delivery truck, settling in the Rocky Mountains, and subsequently raising her children in Boulder, CO.  Mimi remained mobile throughout her life, spending time in Idaho, Washington, Florida, and New Mexico, including employment where she traveled the country doing commercial installations.  There was always an adored dog or two accompanying her.

She had a love for reading, music, and entertainment.  Even known to read an entire novel in a single day!  Her passion for live events led her to jobs at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Pepsi Center, as well as with the Denver Broncos.

Mimi was independent, free-spirited, and always followed her heart.  She appreciated a good debate, or as some would assert, was flat out argumentative.  Mimi was fun to be around and was up for any experience as long as it was shared with loved ones.  A true one-of-kind.

Mimi was preceded in death by parents, Mary Louise and Robert B. Dillard.  She is survived by her daughter Mina Zarich, son Michael Zarich (Susan); grandchildren Dillon Lee, Ben, Zoe, Smith, and Oliva Zarich; sister Marcia (Paul) as well as their children and grandchildren.  Mimi is also survived by many beloved cousins.
