Mathew F. Pint Jr.

January 8, 1941 — June 6, 2017

Math was born January 8, 1941, to Catherine and Math Pint in New Prague, Minnesota. He was the 7th of 9 children. After High School, he worked at Bush Construction Company until he was drafted into the US Army. He was drafted in 1963 and discharged in 1965. During his time in the Army he was stationed at Ft. Carson, Colorado, which is where he met his future wife, Lynn Bollig. Math and Lynn were married in 1966. They lived in Aurora, Colorado and went on to have 2 sons, Dan and Mark along with 5 grandchildren. Math worked for ESB and Kuntz Construction Company until he joined the Windsor Gardens maintenance department in 1974. He later became Facilities Manager and retired in 2006 after 32 years. Math was a Spiritual man and served his church and community, in many ways. He and Lynn traveled extensively, both alone and with family and friends. They belonged to bowling leagues and loved to golf together with friends and on leagues. As a young father, he took his family camping on most summer weekends. He was an assistant Cub Scout Master and an assistant soccer coach. Every fall, he took his sons deer and elk hunting and enjoyed many quiet days when they fished together. In the summer He, Lynn, Dan and Mark traveled to Minnesota to spend time with family there. Math and Lynn have been on 5 cruises, and have traveled to all 50 states. Math's fondest trip was to Canada fishing. He joined Mark, his brother-in-law, Fritz, and many nephews on this adventure. He was proud of his two sons and the men and fathers they have become. He loved his daughter-in-law, Shawna, she was the daughter he always wanted. His five grandchildren were his pride and joy. When Math was diagnosed with cancer, he shook his head and said, ""I've had a good life and have no regrets. No one lives forever and I walk with God and am at peace."" Math's memory will live on in the hearts of those that knew him. He was a man of great faith, strength and integrity. He is survived by wife Lynn, sons Daniel and Mark (Shawna), 5 grandchildren, 4 sisters and 1 brother with spouses. A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Thursday, June 29, 10am; interment to follow at Fort Logan Cemetery, 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Peace Building Fund. Please offer the family condolences by signing the guestbook below.
