Mathew W. Saya

Mathew W. Saya, passed away on April 6, 2010. Matt was born January 23, 1916 in Crested Butte, CO. He was a fireman for the City of Denver for 27 years. As an avid golfer, he won three championships at Windsor Gardens and made a hole-in-one eleven times. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Elizabeth. Mathew is survived by his loving children, Mary (Alex) Argueta, Betty (Mike) Nichols and Jim Saya. He was a caring grandfather of seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A recitation of the rosary will be held 7pm, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A funeral mass will be held at 10am, Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave, Aurora. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
