Matthew Carter

On Friday, August 24, 2018, Matthew Carter, loving husband, son, brother and father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 39.

Matt was born on April 20, 1979 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Wayne Carter and Linda Carter. He received his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and went on to become a successful network engineer. After meeting in college through friends, he married Andrea Thurston on October 8, 2005.

Matt was a dedicated Denver Broncos fan with season tickets for over 25 years. He had an affinity for all things Simpsons. Most recently he adopted a love of the English Premier League soccer team Chelsea. He religiously avoided seeing game scores until he had a chance to watch the Blues play. He was known for his beautiful blue eyes, contagious laugh and amazing smile. He was delightfully sarcastic and quick witted. Matt was genuinely a joy to be around and everyone who met him loved him.

Matt is survived by his wife, Andrea and his two young daughters, Kaitlyn and Ashley, along with his mother, Linda Carter, his father Wayne Carter (Evelyn), sister Kacey Manson (Mike), nieces, nephews and a huge loving extended family and a vast network of friends.

A celebration of Matt's life will be held Saturday, September 1 at 4pm at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Matt Carter Memorial Fund, https://www.gofundme.com/matt-carter-memorial-fund. The funds collected will be used to support his daughters.
