Matthew James Harper

Matthew James Harper, age 45, of Aurora, CO died in his home on September 20, 2024. He graduated from Green Mountain High School and went onto Metropolitan State University of Denver, majoring in Music Performance. He worked for Comcast for 18 years. He was also an active member of a Community Jazz Band, playing trombone. He loved Jazz and Classical music alike.

He is survived by his son, Gabriel D. Harper and mother, Anne Harper of Aurora, CO, and his father, Terry L. Harper of Olympia, WA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth E. Harper. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matthew was appreciated for his sense of humor and extensive musical knowledge. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
