Max Oliver Gould

Max Oliver Gould, Jr, 46, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and coach passed away February 12, 2006 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Max was born on March 27, 1959 in Sioux City, IA to Max and Sallee Gould, who preceded him in death. He married Katherine Ayers in 1993 and together they have three children, Gaby, Brooke and Max III. Max spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Colorado Springs, CO and graduated from Doherty High School in 1978. He also attended Western State College in Gunnison, where he was a member of the football team, graduating in 1983. Max was a devoted servant of God who believed in and lived his life according to the teachings of our Lord. Max was a stock (securities) broker and was employed with JP Turner in Denver. He loved coaching his children's soccer and basketball teams and instilled a sense of pride and commitment to each of his players. He truly loved watching his kids excel at their sports. Max always gave 110% to everything he did. His family and friends will miss his enthusiasm and generosity. In addition to his wife and children, Max is survived by two brothers, Brian, of Colorado Springs, and Greg, of Fort Collins, CO; three sisters, Kathy Hannaway, Mary Cordova and Lisa Spoto, all of Colorado Springs. His grandmother, Lucille Bennett of New Castle, NE also survives him as do numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be said on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 7:00 PM with a Funeral Mass celebrating Max's life to be held Thursday, February 16, 2006, 10:00 AM both at Christ the King Catholic Church, 845 Fairfax St., Denver.
