Max G. Ireland

Max G. Ireland of Denver, Colorado was a retired mill operator for the Gates Rubber Company. Born May 2, 1920 and passed away on June 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma, a sister Ann Jennison, and brothers Carl and Richard. He is survived by his sister Mildred Watts. He was born and raised on a farm Southwest of Beloit, Kansas. He served in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist's mate, stationed in Recife, Brazil and was honorably discharged. Max was the father of Susan Neff, Web, Rex and Brian. He was a grandfather to 5 and great grandfather to 5. Max loved working with wood, bowling and the outdoors. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. Max will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 22nd, 10:00 am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO. Memorial contributions may be made in Max's name to Batten Disease Research Association, 1175 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
