Mayme Amanda Hughes

Mayme A. Hughes passed away peacefully March 17, 2005 in Denver, CO. She was 94. Born April 28, 1910 in Superior, Wyoming, she graduated from Rocks Springs Wyoming High School and moved to Denver where she graduated from Nurses' Training. She worked at Denver General and Children's Hospitals. On June 5, 1937 she married William (Bill) E. Hughes, Jr. who preceded her in death. She volunteered and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Alter and Rosary Society, the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, Salvation Army Guild, Tuesday Community Club and several other community and philanthropic organizations. Mayme was a recipient of the Papal Benemerenti. She is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Bruce) Brady of Lafayette, CA, Brother William E. Hughes, F.S.C. of Lafayette, LA, Jane (Ed) Folz of Camden, DE, and Bob Hughes of Highlands Ranch, CO; 8 Grandchidren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
