Meg Hausmann

Margaret Ann Hausmann, beloved wife, mom, and grandmother died on August 3^rd 2019. To her family and friends, she was Meg, a strong, talented, smart loved one, poised and confident, sure of who she was and what her purpose was. Born on November 26, 1946, in Coudersport, Pennsylvania, to Harold and Ruth Blosser,

Meg is survived by her husband, Don Hausmann, her brothers, Phil Blosser and Carl Blosser, her sisters, Marilyn Ford and Brenda Wood, as well as her children, Karen Barnes, Kim Lowry and Dirk Lowry. In addition, she had several grandchildren whom she adored, along with six great-grandchildren she loved magnificently.

From her birth in Pennsylvania, to her high school graduation in Belvidere, Illinois, and beyond, she loved to travel and had terrific times exploring different parts of Europe, travelling down-under to Australia, and relaxing in her favorite spot on the Yucatan peninsula. Meg cared deeply for her family. She shared her great talents, from fishing to gardening, and making the outdoors look splendid, to sewing, making us all look splendid. She could stitch a world for those she cared for, from undergarments to a sharp cut formal suit, from baby clothes to a wedding dress. In her kitchen she created foods that wowed her friends and family, whether a superb rhubarb pie or a delightful apple pie or a tasty savory dish. One of her food specialties, pickled beets, reflects Meg's character: full of natural sweetness and a bite of sass. Our memories are of her strength, her humor and her love of family and friends. We celebrate the incredible care she gave to us all. We will miss her so very much.

A Celebration of Meg’s life will be held on August 7, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado 80003. A Reception will follow at Hoffbrau Bar and Grill, 9110 Wadsworth Parkway, Westminster, Colorado 80021
