Melba Dunbar Tribble

May 31, 1922 — March 29, 2019

Melba Dunbar Tribble, 96, of Littleton passed away on March 29, 2019 at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center. Born on May 31, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Paul and Berrilla (Wells) Dunbar. Melba married Richard Dale Tribble on December 20, 1945 and together they shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2004.

Melba worked as a Planning Assistant at Tristate Generation and Transmission in Northglenn, Colorado. She began her career at Tristate in 1966 and retired after 20 years.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing throughout her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her Daughter, Jan Glazner and her husband, Greg, her grandchildren, Andrew Collins (Arianna) and Pamela Glazner (Naresh Rajan), her great-grandchildren, Vivian Rajan, Zachary Collins and Graham Rajan, her siblings, James Dunbar, Hilda Bridges, Paul Dunbar and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Berrilla, stepmother, Wilhelmina, sister-in-law Dorothy Dunbar, sisters LaVerne McLean and Wilma Flowers and brother John Dunbar. Son-in-law, Jack Ballah, granddaughter, Sarah Collins, daughter Deborah Collins and husband, Richard Dale.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Lakewood, CO 80227.

Burial will take place immediately following the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd. Centennial, CO 80121.

Memorial donations in Melba's name may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 251 Hopewell Church Road, Wellsville, Missouri 63384.
