Melinda Jean Camp, 71, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. She was born on May 20, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was adopted by Mildred and Paul Hines at birth. She moved to Aurora from Orange County, California in the fall of 1977. Melinda married Charles Camp in 1964. They divorced in 1989. Melinda was a devoted mother to Andrea and Jeffery Camp. She was a doting and loving grandmother to Ryan, Alli, and Kyle Sullivan. She was a caring mother-in-law to Joe Sullivan. Melinda was surrounded by a large circle friends and colleagues. She was an avid fan of baseball, loving the Rockies and especially watching her grandson, Ryan, play. Melinda loved to bake and was famous for sharing what she made with family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. She passed her love of baking to her granddaughter, Alli. Melinda was a devoted and loyal friend to all and never hesitated to help anyone with anything. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home at 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014 at 1:00 pm. There will be a public viewing on October 15, 2017 from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. A reception and Celebration of Life will be held at Village East Clubhouse 12950 East Kansas Place, Aurora, Colorado 80012 following the services.
