Melisa Tucker

Melisa Lorene Tucker was born on November 7, 1966, in Pueblo, Colorado. She passed at home with her family in Denver on November 28th, 2022, after a courageous three and half years of fighting pancreatic cancer.

Melisa, known as Missy to many of her friends and family, was generous, hilarious, and truly the life of every party. Whether she was singing like Louis Armstrong, telling a wild story, cooking a green chili feast, or pranking her friends, Missy was a joy to be around. Bubbly and generous, Missy loved hosting and taking care of others, attending concerts, arranging flowers and driving new cars, and cuddling her new grandbaby, Zayden, and her fur kids, Fergie, Shortee, and Bootz. Her smile and laugh were contagious, and her eyes were the most beautiful, unique light shade of green. After her mother, Martha, passed, Melisa was the beating heart of the Tucker family. The loss of her is something we will never fully recover from, but we are all so lucky and grateful to have had a love like hers.

Melisa is survived by her husband, Rick Pautz; her daughter, Aubrie Pautz; her grandson, Zayden; her sister, Janet; her cousin, Lewrie (Michael Long); and many other beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear, longtime friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Charles Tucker; her siblings, Ronnie and Caroline; and her biological father and mother, Jimmy and Vicki.

A celebration of her life and a reception will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.

We ask that attendees wear colorful clothing as Melisa would have wanted.
