Melvin ""Gene"" Ellingson

Melvin ""Gene"" Ellingson, 69, of Castle Pines, CO passed away July 4, 2018 at SkyRidge Hospital from esophageal cancer. He was born November 24, 1948 in Broken Bow, NE to Ida Mae & Melvin Ellingson.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Peggy.

Gene is survived by his brother Terry and his sisters Shirley, Marilyn & Marlene; his children Richard, Trevor & Colleen; Cherie (in-law), Cindy (in-law) & Jon (in-law); and his grandchildren Ashlyn, Kenna, Emma, Brody, Caleb, Jon Michael, Noah and Chloe.

Gene served 4 years in the U.S. Navy where he met his lovely wife. He had a great career as a trucking dispatcher that moved him and his family to many beautiful cities and states. Gene loved doing yard work, golfing, visiting Disneyland with his grandkids and most of all……the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

He was a very loving and giving man who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation Sunday from 6-8 pm with a vigil & rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, July 16, 3 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
