Meredith Latchaw

Meredith S. Latchaw died on Friday, July 31, 2020 from injuries sustained in a tragic accident in Eagle County, Colorado while camping.

Meredith was born August 27, 1972 in Denver, Colorado. She graduated high school at Denver Area South High School in 1990 and graduated college from Colorado College, Colorado Springs in 1994. Meredith earned a Master’s degree in Education and taught for 26 years, at Rangeview High School for 5 years and Grandview High School for 21 years.

She is survived by her mother, Lois Jensen; two sisters, Emily Jensen and Amber Goodell; husband, Mark Latchaw; step daughter, Kaylee Latchaw; children, Cade and Lauren Latchaw and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Phil Jensen.

Meredith was a very loving mother and wife, and also a great friend to many. She was always available to share a smile, and have conversation with anyone. During her time as an educator, she also coached Tennis and Volleyball.  Meredith considered all her students and student athletes as her kids and was always concerned with finding the best way to connect and motivate them so they could reach their full potential. She truly loved when her kids achieved their goals.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Horan & McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Ave, Aurora CO 80014; however, due to COVID-19 the family is limiting her service to immediate family and a few of her close friends.
