Merle Waldo Leinweber

Merle Waldo Leinweber, 74, went home on Father's Day to be with the Lord and his son, Mark, after prolonged health problems. Merle grew up in Greeley, Colorado, excelling at football, shot-put, and other sports in high school, where he built life-long friendships. He played football for CU Boulder, where he met and married the love of his life, Mary. He raised three sons – David (wife, Becky), Mark, and John (wife, Debbie) – and had five grandchildren – Luke, Rachel, Jonathan, Breanna, and Lance. Merle enjoyed golf, watching his sons and grandchildren play sports, and relaxing at his mountain cabin. Merle now stands in the presence of Jesus, his Lord, whole in body and mind. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00am at Southeast Christian Church, 9650 Jordan Road, Parker, CO 80138. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00pm at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80247. Memorials may be made in Merle's name to the Allenspark Community Church, P.O.
