Michael Ray Barrus

Michael Ray Barrus, 40, of Eureka, California, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016. Born December 9th, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was the son of Raymond and Geri Barrus. Mike was a free spirit. He enjoyed being outside, camping, or hiking. Most of all he loved the ocean. He also loved to travel. He's been to many places around the country, but spent a lot of his time in California. Unfortunately, he fell ill and passed away in the hospital of pneumonia. Michael is survived by his son, Colin Barrus; two sisters, Shirley Beatty, and Christi Barrus; and his parents Raymond and Geri Barrus. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Barrus Call. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5175 S. Picadilly St., Aurora, CO. 80015 The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10:30 am until 11:00 am at the Church. Interment will follow the services at St. Simeon Cemetery at 22001 E. State Highway 30, Aurora, CO. 80018
