Michael A. Bethancourt

Michael A. Bethancourt, age 72 passed away at Peace with God on September 23, 2016. He was born 10/12/1943, in Phoenix Arizona to Eileen and Bruce Bethancourt. Michael had a long career (35 years) in Aerospace Engineering and worked at Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and United Launch Alliance. He was known for his love flying. He learned to fly from his Father a Flight instructor and Teacher. Michael was a skier, enjoyed competitive shooting, was generous and had a love of people. He was a Catholic by faith and attended St. Mary's of Littleton, Colorado. Michael is preceded in death by his Mother, Eileen Elizabeth Fairbanks Bethancourt, and Father, Bruce A. Bethancourt, and his oldest son, Michael Keith Campbell. Michael's family includes brothers, Dr. Bruce Bethancourt, Jr, Kevin Anthony Bethancourt, and sisters: Patricia Martin, Mary Alice Burke, Joanne Allen, Sheila Bethancourt, and Shauna Debevec. Michael was married to Sharon Lee Bethancourt for 40 years. His Daughter is Krista Ann Kahler, married to Ron Kahler, and has 2 grandchildren: Brianna and Aubrey Kahler from Parker, Colorado. He also has a Son, Eric Campbell of Scottsdale, Arizona. Funeral mass will be Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 6853 South Prince Street, Littleton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to Catholic Charities of Denver, 4045 North Pecos Street, Denver, Colorado 80211.
