Michael Booth

February 16, 1964 — March 17, 2019

Hockey-player, committed and loyal father, life partner and friend, Michael Tryon Booth entered this world on February 16, 1964 and transitioned into the next realm, wherever that may be on March 17, 2019, almost exactly one month after his 55th birthday. Michael was often a quiet guy and yet always went out of his way to take care of and show up for the people around him, family and otherwise. Michael or Uncle ""Forest"" as he was known to his family, grew up in Flint, Michigan. He was always a die-hard hockey fan and enjoyed his time on the tennis court in high school and onward. He graduated from Carman-Ainsworth high school and earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Eastern Michigan University. In 1982, he met his bride Lisa Arreola-Booth, they dated throughout college and eventually in 1991 they ventured across the country to settle down in Denver, Colorado. They will have been married thirty-one years on April 30th. Michael served as a dedicated senior recruiter with human resources for the University of Colorado Hospital for over twenty years, and he was also known as ""Mr. University"" by his close friends and loved ones.

Throughout his life, Michael clung to the things that made him happy, whether that be time with his son Rhett who he cherished and for whom he beamed pride, with his wife Lisa, other family members, time on the ice with his hockey team, or weekend happenings. Michael is remembered by his wife, Lisa, his son Rhett (17), his parents-in-law Philip and Sandra, his sisters-in-law Richelle and Gabrielle, his five nephews and his parents David and Esther and his sister Lynn in Michigan. Indebted to the life he lived and the light he shone, his family will remember to keep their heads up, and their sticks on the ice.

Memorial contributions can be addressed to Lisa Arreola-Booth, 2322 South Leyden Street, Denver CO 80222 and will be disseminated to the charities Michael held dear to his heart.
