Michael P. Dixon

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, Michael P. Dixon, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at age 75.

Mike was born on August 14, 1942 in Casper, WY to John and Mary (Morrow) Dixon. On February 16, 1974, he married Nancy Dees. They raised two sons, Andy and Scott.

He received his undergraduate degree from Regis University in 1964 and his MBA from the Executive Program at the University of Colorado at Denver in 1985. Mike had a long, prosperous career most recently as EVP and CFO of ListenUp, a retailer of high-end audio and video equipment.

Mike was a devout Catholic and member of St. Thomas More Catholic Parish and gave back to the community through active participation and leadership at several local non-profit organizations including Colorado Vincentian Volunteers and St. Francis Center, a homeless shelter for men and women in Denver.

Mike had a passion for his family, grandchildren’s soccer games, fly fishing, the outdoors, and the Rockies. He loved to camp with friends, travel and stay active in the community by volunteering his time and talents. He was known for his faith, generosity, adventurous nature, and kind and compassionate spirit.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, John, his mother, Mary, and his brothers, Bill and Jack.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his two children, Andy and Scott, his daughters in law Jessie and Mandy, his five grandchildren, Oliver (9), Connor (8), Audrey (7), Luke (6) and Reid (3), and numerous other extended family members. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

Visitation on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 5303 E. County Line Rd. Centennial, CO 80122. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish, 8035 S. Quebec St. Centennial, CO.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Colorado Vincentian Volunteers or the St. Francis Center.
