Michael John Dugas, age 75, fell asleep in the Lord on April 7, 2023 in Aurora, Colorado.
Michael was born on May 2, 1947 in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was a resident of Colorado since 2002. Immediately after graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served 4 years. Michael then joined the U.S. Post Office as a Training Technician. He retired in 2002. Michael was also a Master Sergeant in the Wyoming Air National Reserves for 25 years.
Michael was formerly a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming before moving to Colorado. In 2011 he converted to Greek Orthodoxy and was a devoted member of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church since then.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Katerini Dugas, daughter Nicole Yurgilevich (Stephen), son Paul Dugas, grandsons Alec and Allen, brother Kenneth Dugas (Susan), sisters Lorraine Atkinson (Jerry) and Mary Nelson (Roger) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Helen and George Dugas.
Michael will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael’s memory to St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church.
