Michael ""Mike"" Andre Gourdin

November 28, 1961 — September 12, 2015

Michael Andre Gourdin (Mike), 53, entered into eternal rest at Swedish Medical Center on September 12, 2015 caused by a severe stroke. Mike was born on November 28, 1961 in Salt Lake City, UT. He resided in Northglenn, CO for most of his life. He worked in customer service most recently at DISH network. These are a few words that come to mind when thinking about Mike: creative, passionate about beliefs, debater, prankster and dreamer. He was quite the artist and played the guitar. He was very passionate about his beliefs, making him quite the debater. On some topics, he would take the opposite view just to create some interesting discussions. Throughout his life he would play little jokes on friends and family from time to time just to liven things up. His dreamer side showed through in his writing. He had a giving spirit and even in the end he gave the gift of life through organ donation. He is survived by his father Robert Gourdin, siblings Angela Gourdin, Robert Gourdin (Julie Gourdin), Gerald Gourdin, and Diana Gourdin, son, Joseph Gourdin, grandson Joey Gourdin, nieces Cristina (James) Fox, Whitney Gourdin, Janessa, Gourdin, Symone Gourdin, Stephanie Gourdin, nephews Brian Gourdin and Alex Gourdin. His mother Jacquelyn Gourdin predeceases him. Family and friends are invited to attend a non-denominational service on September 19, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 E Malley Dr., Northglenn 80233 at 12:00. Viewing will be at 11:00 before the service. The burial will follow at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229.
