Michael E. Hill, 67, of Arvada, CO sadly passed away November 30, 2017. He was born December 25, 1949 in Durango, CO and raised in North Denver; he attended St. Dominic Elementary, Skinner Junior High, and North High School. He served in the Marine Corps during Vietnam where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal 1 Star, Purple Heart, Vietnam Campaign Medal (1960 Device), and the Combat Action Ribbon. He was a member of the Sons of Italy. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart of over 50 years, Lynn (Bertollt) Hill; his children Michelle (Hill) Ouerfelli, and Beverly Hill; his grandchildren Michael Ouerfelli and Alayasia Ouerfelli; his siblings Kathy (Hill) Taillon, Billy Hill, DeeDee Hill; his nieces and nephews Mark Hill, Tracey (Hill) Busnardo (Bruno), Erica Hill, and many other distant nieces and nephews; his great nieces and nephews Isabella Busnardo and Giuliano Busnardo. He was preceded in death by his parents Leona and James Hill; his brothers James Hill Jr. and Ricky Hill. His passion and love of his family was immeasurable. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, willingness to help anyone in need, and love of life. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6th at 5:00pm, followed by a Rosary at 6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 10:30am. All formal services will be held at at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 4200 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80211. Immediately following the Mass, a Graveside Service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. The family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Life Reception at Turn Bingo 5390 Sheridan Blvd, Arvada, CO 80002. The Reception will begin following the Mass, and will extend into the afternoon.
