Michael W. Locatis Jr. (Bill), 77, died from complications of diabetes on Thursday June 16, 2016 in Littleton, Colorado. He was born on May 8, 1939 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to parents Michael W. Locatis Sr. and wife Evelyn (Jones) Locatis. Bill's formative years were spent with his parents on the award winning Matt Locatis & Sons Hampshire Hog Farm near Fort Dodge, Iowa. Bill's early interest in technology led to a 60-year career as a technologist and entrepreneur spanning multiple industries including energy and food safety. Bill was a vibrant and highly valued strategic contributor to multiple companies including 915 Labs and Solve for Food until the time of his death. Bill is survived by his wife Patricia Nejezchleb; sons Michael (Jeri), Kevin (Kate) and Timothy (Colleen); sisters Linda Pratt and Sherry (Joe) Gray; nephew Andy Gray and grandchildren Jamie, Aaron and Abbey Locatis and Andrea Parmenter and one of Bill's mentors, his uncle Norm Locatis.
