Michael Miller

August 22, 1950 — February 15, 2008

Mike Miller, 57, of Littleton, Colorado, died suddenly on February 15, 2008. He was born August 22, 1950, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to William and Audrey Miller. Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue, his beloved sons, Chad, 20, and Sean, 18, mother Audrey, brother Steve, his daughter Tara, and brother Dave, his wife Syd and sons Cory, Zach and Austin. He was preceded in death by his father William. After graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1968, Mike attended the University of Iowa. He graduated from the University of Phoenix (Denver) in 1990. Mike married Sue in June 1972. They moved to Littleton in 1974. He was employed by Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA) in Denver managing Information Systems. Mike retired in March 2007 after 33 years of service at PERA. Mike was a devoted husband and father, and loved being involved in his sons' lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Columbine High School 6201 S. Crestline Circle Suite 200 Greenwood Village, CO 80112 Please make checks payable to Columbine High School or Gold Crown Foundation identified to the ""Mike Miller Memorial"". Donations also may be made to a charity of your choice in Mike's memory. Mike's wish would be to support local community youth baseball and basketball players in need. Visitation will be Friday, February 22, 2-7 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado 80227. A funeral service will be Saturday, February 23, 10:30 a.m., at St. Philip Lutheran Church, 7531 S. Kendall Blvd, in Littleton, Colorado 80123.
