Michael Paul Nichols, 34, passed away August 18, 2012. He was both November 18, 1977 in Fontana, California to Kathleen and John Nichols. Michael and his family moved from California to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was a young boy. Las Vegas was his home until moving to Colorado in 2003. Mike spent many years as a manager at Best Buy and was most recently working for the Douglas County School District. Mike was also expanding his education and working on his Bachelors of Art in Psychology. Mike will forever be remembered by his family and friends for his humor and ability to make everyone laugh. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed off-roading in his beloved Jeep, woodworking, hiking, camping and traveling, especially to Disneyland with his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his family whom he loved and adored, especially his three children. Mike is survived by his wife, Autumn Lynn Nichols; his three beautiful children, Noah, Jamie and Katie Nichols; Mother, Kathy Apfel; Step-Mother, Virge Nichols; Sister, Nicole Nichols; grandparents, Dusty and Danna Rhodes and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father John T. Nichols. A Visitation for Michael will be held on Saturday, August 25th, from 10:00-10:45am, followed by the Funeral Service that will begin at 11:00am, both will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3101 South Flanders Street, Aurora, Colorado 80013. Burial will follow at St. Simeon Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado. The family invites you to join them for a luncheon following the burial back at the church.
