Michael Noakes, 71, of Castle Pines, Colorado, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on August 22, 2017. A Colorado native, Mike was born in Canon City, Colorado on June 13, 1946 to Rita Widhalm Trujillo and Harvey Noakes. Mike graduated from South High School in Pueblo, Colorado in 1964 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Mike returned to Colorado, married Mary Jane Janezich on August 16, 1969, and attended the University of Colorado. He worked most of his career for the same company building and managing mobile home parks. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Rita, and his stepfather, Perfy Trujillo. Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Noakes, his daughter, Jennifer (Travis) Madsen, and his two grandchildren, Emily and Will Madsen. Mike is also survived by his eight siblings, Phoebe (Jim) Bishop, Richard (Christine) Trujillo, Ron (Verla) Noakes, Darlene (Larry) Mowry, Helen (Byrel) Miller, Perfeato (Melinda) Trujillo, Jr., Rose (Don) Clay, and Tim (Deborah) Trujillo. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol (Ken) Llewellyn, and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved helping others and spending time with his family. He loved to travel, bike, see the latest movie and was a voracious book reader. Mike enjoyed the outdoors and was a diehard Rockies fan from the beginning. Burial services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at Shelter C on September 1, 2017 at 11:15 am and a memorial reception will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Willow Creek HOA2 clubhouse located at 8500 E.
