Michael “Mike” Sandoval, age 77, died on July 29th at Lutheran Medical Center. It was sudden, as he was on the road to recovery after a fearful cardiac arrest a month and a half prior.
He leaves behind a wife (Lydia Sandoval), a son (Steve Sandoval), 4 grandchildren (Audrey, Brittany, Kayla, and Steven), 5 great grandchildren (Lexie, Jace, Elijah, Sammy, and Skyee), 3 sisters (Florance, Dee-Dee, and Sharon), along with several nieces & nephews and many friends.
He loved fishing, camping, and hunting. He never missed an opportunity to head to the mountains. His wife was his best friend, they did everything together. Annual trips to Vegas, shopping, cooking and, of course, random trips to Central City.
He was a hard-working man. He worked in the box industry for 60 years fixing machines. He knew everything. As people say, a jack of all trades. He wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone. The kindest soul you’d ever meet. The world lost a great man who will be dearly missed.
As he left this world he joined his father (Fred Sandoval), mother (Amelia Martinez), son (Michael Sandoval), brothers (Edward, Ernie, Jesse, Butch, Fred and Ronnie), and sisters (Dorothy, Mary-Lou, Barbara, Gloria, Margaret, Martha, Joyce, Linda and Victoria).
